Dorothea (Dottie) Grossman's poetry is a unique compilation of words, images and ideas. Her subjects range from poetry for children to Henny Youngman, from Nature to Love. In these diverse subjects she evokes an imagry that is tangible, that relates to the everyday world we live in.
Dottie was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and received a B.A. in English Literature from Temple University. She has been writing poetry for over 20 years, while working at a variety of jobs, including counselor, bookstore manager, registrar at a memory school and a school of Architecture.
Dottie currently lives in Los Angeles, working as an office manager. She spends her time away from work writing poetry and going to jazz events.
