Economics: Tourism is the economic driving force the 69th assembly district. Disneyland, the California Angels, and the Anaheim Ducks attract people from all across the nation. Money is also generated from the small, locally owned business, the aerospace industry, and the construction industry.

Previous Election Outcomes: 1996 Campaign: Jim Morrissey (R): 48.1%, Lou Correa (D):47.9%, Larry G Engwall (NL): 3.9% 1994 Campaign: Jim Morrissey (R): 51%, Mike Meltzer (D): 44%, George Reis (L): 5%

Other Salient Characteristics: Historically this district has been largely Republican, however, because of the large percentage of Hispanics in this district, most of whom are Democrats, it would be quite possible in the future to see a Democrat occupy this seat.
