AMA has diesigned and published a detailed numerical code to enable physicians to identify particular medical procedures with precision. Congress established a federal health care agency that wanted to use the AMA system of coding. AMA granted a non exclusive, royalty free and irrevocable license to the federal agency. AMA denied Practice Management a request for a volume discount.
