In re Forbes Inc., - (1994) p.232

FACTS

No guts no story. Forbes tried to trademark this. It was something that was used in selling its own product. This is merely a service to yourself and then would not qualify as a service to others.

RATIONAL

Forbes has two businesses. One is the magazine. The other is advertising of their services that is promoted in OTHER magazines. Therefore, it is a service to others - they try to get other people to advertise in their magazine. Therefore okay.
