personal creditors of a single partner cannot reach partnership property in order to reach interest of one partner, can ask the court to order a foreclosure sale and then the creditor can buy the partner's interest using the debt as a "credit bid" if partnership at will any partner, including a creditor can cause dissolution of hte partnership and liquidation of assets These factors make a big incentive for the remaining partners to pay the debt or get someone else to buy out the creditor's interest.
