Ken Ludwigís Moon Over Buffalo played on Broadway in 1995 starring Carol Burnett, and itís just the kind of comedy that was perfect for Burnettís exaggerated facial expressions and body movements. This farce, following a couple trying to hold together their aging acting career, is now playing in Sonoma.

Vicki Martinez, co-director of this production, happened to see the original Broadway performance and thought about how nice it would be to produce the show. Five years later she helped found Hoochi-Doo Productions in Sonoma, and after producing over 25 shows since then, she has finally taken the time to stage Moon Over Buffalo.

The show is a lot of fun with actors coming in and out of several doors on stage searching for missing characters. Itís a type of comedy that played well for the Marx Brothers and at times even has a cartoon quality to it. All the audience needs to do is relax and enjoy the ride. Itís a real hoot!
