Recon 5
In constant daily fear of disconnection,
the people of Recon 5 live their lives under the most abject conditions.
Food is always in short supply, and waste disposal back-ups regularly foul
the air. Climate control equipment continually breaks down, subjecting those
who live in the "Grey Giants" on the outer fringes of The Quadrant
-- near the edge of the dome -- to periodic darkness and freezing cold.
Ugly, stubby looking rectangles housing hundreds
of people jut up out of the hazy, dirty air everywhere, scarring the landscape
in every direction. Narrow streets, filled with filth, clog the pedways, and gangs (the Stunz and
Blaadz) prowl the streets at all hours, clashing regularly in violent outbursts.
Life on Recon 5 is dangerous, and the people are irritable, aggressive,
short tempered, and quick to anger.
The Platz
This sprawling, shabby, outdoor square and market is located a few hundred
meters south of the main west sector Recon 5 speedtube
station. Various "merchants" man hundreds of stalls selling shoddy
hand-crafted goods and preserved food, and they will cheat you any way they
can.

The Gash
Dreg bar on the outer fringes of the west sector of Recon 5. The Gash
is the favored hangout of the Blaadz, arch-enemies of the Stunz (the two
warring gangs on the Outer Boardz).
The Last Stop
The Stunz' Dreg bar on the outer edge of the east sector of Recon 5.
